Gareth Mason lives and works in London, UK. Mason attended Heatherley School of Art in London from 1982-1983; he attended Wimbledon School of Art in London from 1983 -1984; and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Surrey College of Art and Design, UK in 1987.


Mason is the recipient of the 1997 National Lottery ‘A4E’ Express Award; the 1998 Arts Council Development Funding, ‘Space Craft Award’; the 1998 South Hill Park Development Award; the 2002 Grand Prix, ‘White,’ Projections D’Argile Film Festival Award; the 2006 Grants for the Arts Ward, Arts Council England; the 2009 Honourable Mention, World Ceramic Biennale, Icheon, Korea; and the 2011 Arts Council England, Grants for the Arts Award.


Mason has had domestic and international solo exhibitions at Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House, Cumbria; Bourne Fine Art, Edinburgh, Scotland; Bracknell Gallery, Berkshire, UK; Contemporary Applied Arts, London, UK; Jason Jacques gallery, New York, NY; Kunstforum Solothurn, Switzerland; Mindy Solomon Gallery, St Petersburg, FL; and Roger Billcliffe Gallery, Glasgow, Scotland.
